SATURDAY WORKOUT CHALLENGE

The theme for the "Workout" was to use tissue or handkerchief. To this end I have created a background using a Rice Paper Napkin fused to white freezer wrap, then adhered it to white 3x5 cardstock. I have used a collage image from INKA STAMPS and embellished with paper flowers from Prima.

To this "messy" theme end, I have worked with gesso, feather stitch sewing, white and red rub-ons. It was a fun piece to work on, certainly outside my comfort zone...a true challenge:)

This is a little inexpensive round, coiled book I bought at Michael's for $1.50. It had a pretty cover so I just turned it over and altered the back of it, leaving the now ex-front cover as the back cover. I simply cut patterned paper into rounds, and applied a butterfly. I added stickles to give dimension to the butterfly. It is such a simple alter but I love my little butterfly book.
