I went through a "RUST IT YOURSELF" artistic stage a little while ago and this tin box and all the metal elements used in creating my 'Rusty Tin Box" were things that I took pride in getting rusted. When my mom was alive she could never comprehend anyone liking anything rusty...she said that most people try to get rid of rust, not savor it (lol). This would never have been something I would have created for her, needless to say.

Older, rusty things are always more interesting to the 'next ' generation it seems. This is a beautiful box Gayle- a lot of work and love went into this- what a great entry!

Beautiful rusty tin, Gayle. I smiled when I read your comments. I'm sure there are many who think an affection for rusty things is a bit demented....but I'm for sure not one of them! Thanks for sharing.
