This is exquisite, Gayle. It takes me back to my childhood and teenage years when bread was actually sliced at home and I was warned off doing so by my father because I could never slice in a straight line and the loaf would end up in a diagonal shape. "Don't cut the bread" was a constant demand. Your work is always beautiful, Gayle, but this one is special.
